Lifeline and ACP are different programs
The Affordable Connectivity Program ended on June 1, 2024. The FCC’s consumer advisory warns about sites that continue to advertise ACP enrollment or discounts.
A Lifeline check is not an ACP application
Lifeline is a different program with its own qualifying criteria and application process. Our checker assesses standard federal Lifeline criteria only. It does not submit an application to either program.
What to verify
If a page advertises a current ACP benefit, read the original FCC notice before sharing information. If a company offers a separate low-cost plan or device promotion, check the plan’s current terms rather than assuming it is a replacement federal benefit.
Official next steps
Read current Lifeline eligibility guidance and look for participating companies through USAC. This page reports the program distinction; it does not claim a new ACP funding decision or a provider promotion.
