Lifeline Eligibility Check

Lifeline device offers: what the benefit does and does not promise

Lifeline supports eligible phone or internet service. A result from an eligibility checker does not reserve a device or confirm a provider’s stock.

Ask about the complete offer

Before enrolling, ask the company whether a device is included, which model is offered, whether it is new or refurbished, and whether there are charges. Check coverage, service terms, replacement terms, and what happens if you change companies. Use the company’s current written offer.

Phones, iPhones, and tablets

Those are product descriptions, not separate federal eligibility decisions. Do not treat a Lifeline match as a promise of a free iPhone or tablet. Promotions and device availability can differ from place to place and can change.

Bring your own device

If you want to keep a phone, ask the intended provider to confirm compatibility, unlocking requirements, SIM or eSIM support, and number-transfer steps. This website cannot check a device’s compatibility or an account.

Find a participating company

Use USAC’s provider lookup, then confirm participation and terms directly with the company. A directory listing is not proof that a specific device is in stock.

Our guide and checker charge no fees and collect no enrollment documents. Official verification and the provider’s offer are separate steps.
